Arizona State Trooper Academy Graduates 54 New Troopers

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) is proud to announce the graduation of 54 new Arizona State Troopers from the State Trooper Academy on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

Class 37 is the largest in the department’s recent history. It comprises 30 cadets and 24 lateral officers who transferred from other law enforcement agencies.

Governor Katie Hobbs was in attendance to address the new troopers and wish them well in their careers. 

Colonel Jeffrey Glover, Director of the AZDPS, also addressed the class and administered their oath of office during the graduation ceremony in Mesa. 

The troopers are assigned to duty stations throughout Arizona, including:

  • Black Canyon City
  • Casa Grande
  • Douglas
  • Flagstaff
  • Holbrook
  • Kingman
  • Nogales
  • Oracle
  • Parker
  • Phoenix (Capitol and Metro Central, South, East & West)
  • Prescott
  • Quartzsite
  • Safford
  • Sierra Vista
  • Springerville
  • Tucson
  • Willcox
  • Winslow
  • Yuma

Each of the new troopers will now begin their 12-week field training program, during which time they will each be paired with senior troopers as they begin their highway patrol duties.
